We will celebrate a Vigil Mass at 1700
at Belvoir Chapel.  A free, catered dinner will follow at 1800 in the REC.
Dessert is potluck, so we hope
you will bring your favorite to share.

NEW DIGITAL GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

The Office of the Chief of Chaplains launched a new digital platform to enhance the online giving experience of Chapel attendees. Those Soldiers, Families, and DA civilians who contribute money as an act of worship now have new access to view transactions, update payment methods, and manage recurring offerings.

Woodlawn Chapel Update

Woodlawn Chapel is currently under renovations due to mold. 
 It is tentatively scheduled to reopen March 2023.

The Woodlawn Chapel remediation is moving right along! 
The chapel is at 75% completion and we have an
official pre-walkthrough this week.  We are also working
on finalizing the A/V installation timeline.

Woodlawn Chapel Update
18 December 2022

Woodlawn Chapel remediation is moving right along!  All carpet has been removed and there are stacks of new carpet squares ready to be installed once painting is complete.  All wallpaper has been removed and most of the classroom walls have been patched and painted. Everything is currently on schedule.

Additionally, the new digital baby grand piano arrived two months early and is installed in Belvoir Chapel, just in time for the Protestant and Catholic Christmas services.

Woodlawn Chapel Update
October 2022      

Pre-reconstruction demolition has begun at Woodlawn Chapel.    Tasks to be completed (or very near completion) by the end of this year include removal of wallpaper, ACT tiles, and carpet; and sealing, skimming, and finishing drywall.

Woodlawn Chapel Update
18 August 2022
 

1)  W91QV120C0135- This project is reference to replacing Air Conditioning and Heating Units (AHUs) 1 and 2 in the sanctuary areas. Currently, the materials are on site and ready for installation.    The contractor would like to perform mold remediation first before installing these AHU's

2) W91QV121C0051- This project is reference to replacing AHU's 3 & 4 along
with mold remediation. The contractor conducted an analysis two or
three weeks ago on the indoor air quality. So far the facility is in good condition, however the air condition needs to stay on throughout the day to
prevent another mold situation. Although the material will not be here
until October/November, the contractors are ready to proceed. We are waiting
for Mission and Installation Contracting Command to issue the FNTP.

Phase one of the air handlers are in at DPW. Phase two of the remaining air handlers are scheduled to arrive in November (supply chain issue).
DPW does not have the authority to allow the installation to move forward
for phase one air handlers (partial opening of Woodlawn) until mold remediation occurs. Mold remediation is not a lengthy process, generally speaking. 
However, mold remediation has not yet begun and a start date has not been released. A request for a start date was sent to the Contracting Officer
on 13JULY22 from the Religious Support Office (RSO).

Still a long way to go but the start is near.

Woodlawn Chapel is scheduled to have the four large main air handlers replaced,      all wallpaper removed, walls painted, carpets replaced, and ceiling tiles replaced. 

There have been numerous supply chain delays however, half of the materials should arrive by July and the remainder by November. 

The projected timeline to fully occupy Woodlawn Chapel is December 2022. 

We are meeting with DPW weekly for status updates and will provide additional updates weekly.
